I do software development work using Java and Java-related technologies. Recent work includes the following:

• web-based, standard-cost accounting application to replace a semi-automated system based on spreadsheets. Tools used for development are Oracle's JDeveloper as the integrated development environment and Application Design Framework (ADF) Fusion technology as the framework
• documentation, testing and refactoring of Java code used for the search/matching functionality of a name-matching application. Technology used included standard Java SE and Java EE libraries, the Lucene F\OSS search API and IBM's Global Name Recognition software. These activities aimed at improving the quality of matches to queries presented to the application. Used Maven for builds, testing and documentation, IntelliJ IDEA for the IDE
• Web services application to bridge an existing Perl/CGI e-commerce application with a commercial product called ATG and to bridge interaction between those applications to an existing ERP system and its SAP replacement. Eclipse IDE used. SAP's JCO API used for Java-to-ADAP interaction.
• web application for determining the payment for test raters that fits within a much larger application used by Educational Testing Service to manage testing and test rating activities. Technology used included: JBoss Developer Studio 3.0.1, JBoss AS 6.0 application server, Seam, Java Server Faces, RichFaces, Subversion, Maven, Hibernate/JPA, Spring DI. Worked within a loose agile development environment.
